Anyone got a minute to check something for me? I re-installed my Linux computer the other day. So I've just had to setup the TNGC Bittorrent network again. Can you check it working? Visit http://firejack.plus.com:6969 just click any file.

Tried asking some people on xfire but they are all AFK :|

Still need more seeds. With my connection problems in the evenings we need some extra cover between 4pm and midnight to stop the network slowing to a crawl. Even if you only seed at 10KB/sec it should be enough to keep things moving. You can setup everything to run automatically. See the Tips section of the wiki article.

FJ, i just want to know how you know that :| - where does it explain what those line stats actually mean, and whats good, and whats bad.

Doh.. I remember now :oops:

If you had 2 MBit ADSL before MAX you need to ask pipex to poke BT to update your line profile as you should be getting the full 8Mbit with those line stats.

DL Speed is obviously more BT that anything else...

basically they gave me the reply i'd posted in the "Ongoing UK wide broadband rollout" thread... but i never followed it up as it was a few days before i was going to south africa.

Ah so that you connected. Didn't know you'd gone to pipex. You finding them any good?

Oh and during the night is the best time to download a torrent if i'm the only seed. I remove the throttle that I have on in the day so I don't lag out in games.

Downloading the burning crusade beta at the moment. Will seed when its done. I'll leave my computer on all-day i guess tomorrow.
