Try running the repair.exe which is in your wc directory. Be warned, don't interupt this file integrity scanner, it can play malicious games with the file structure of your hard drive. Just run it and wait for the results

Ah well the next step in Blizzards wonderful solve all troubleshooting list is a full reinstall of wow, sorry
Make sure you uninstall wow using the wow uninstaller.

This is what I found when I looked up error 131 solution on the technical forum. I doubt any of it will work though. I can however recommend the safe mode installation. It helped me to install both WoW and BC. <3

Ah well the next step in Blizzards wonderful solve all troubleshooting list is a full reinstall of wow, sorry
Make sure you uninstall wow using the wow uninstaller.

Been there done that.
During the time i played wow i think i reinstalled it about 2-3 times.
And i allways forgott to save the patches >.<

Yeah me too, I was always getting corrupted sound files after a patch
