Why would the TurnItInBot be interested in this forum?
I´m used to seeing google and yahoo bot having a sniff round but an academic anti plagiarism bot? Why has that taken an interest....just out of interest
Re: Why would the TurnItInBot be interested in this forum?
No clue. Many bots seem to visit the site though.
Probably the case they are all pretty dumb and just search every server address they can resolve. I imagine the magic that makes search engines useful is how that information is processed from such a raw form into coherent search results.

Its one thing to have a search engine sneaking into your site but this bot collects previously private information and stores it on their servers...the anti plagiarism bot is plagiarising us!!
The info it steals (bandwidth too) is then sold as part of their database service to educators.
It will ignore your disallow list in robot.txt too, what a piece of low down, dirty software...

If it's on the interweb then it's not private.this bot collects previously private information
