Mumble Payment Help
Hey everyone.
I'm sorry to ask. But I'm short on cash at the mo, and I'm trying to save pennies. Can anyone help me with this months payment of the Mumble server? It's £4.50 per month.
Anyone that helps out will automatically get admin access, and a channel name of there own choice
Hope that's enough incentive lol.
Tim.
P.S. It's my Birthday this Wednesday 19th. So this months Mumble payment could be a Birthday present

Re: Mumble Payment Help
I'm pretty sure there is money left over in donations after we paid for our web hosting. Theo will know for sure.
On a related note. I was thinking about maybe switching back to Teamspeak 3. Still seem to have several people with Mumble issues, Parkhead behind the latest.
On the flip side is might be worth sticking it out a few weeks longer to see is the problems are fixed in Mumble 1.2.3 due about now.

Re: Mumble Payment Help
We still have the free Mumble server thats currently our backup. Another option if we're feeling cheap.

Re: Mumble Payment Help
hehe okay.
Mumble is still way better than TS imo. What problems is Parkhead getting with Mumble?
Also how would I go about someone else helping with this months Mumble payment? Would I have to send them the account details of the Mumble server login?

Don't start confusing things. Theo collecting the donations has worked fine. Just use the donate link on the index page of the forum if you want to donate cash.
Re: Mumble Payment Help
ok, finance wise we have some money left but not a fortune
we'd spent all our money from the first round, latest round raised £94.37
hosting for the next year has cost £60.99, leaving £33.38 for other purposes
if everyone's in general agreement i'll send devious the money, tbh whatever voice service we're gonna use i think it should be by general payment like the webhosting, it's not fair asking 1 person to do it (first amiga now devious)
this does mean we'll need to have slightly more contributions more often

i dont,that was on purpose.Firejack wrote:Don't start confusing things.
is why i asked for both; who answers first gets it send.
with the simple thought of speeding up the process.dun want to get stuff shut down or anything.
and since its tim who actually pays it,i dun mind sending it to him.
i doubt he will take the 5£ ,change his name and retire with it in hawai
but back to topic.
if its not needed really fast,i would use the donation account.
and yes,if there is enough,im all for sending it to where it is needed
i thought, its some kind of emergency situation and needed quickly,is all

Re: Mumble Payment Help
hehe
I was sent the bill yesterday via email. It has to be paid by the 23rd of this month
Let me know what the decision is

Re: Mumble Payment Help
i think general conclusion is this is something we as a community should be paying for as we all make use of it, we'll probably need to have a bit of a whip round to get the money to pay for a longer term, i assume there's a discount for 6 months/a year
is it possible to pay for just a month up front, as FJ said, some people are having problems with it and so it may be better to look to host a TS server (although i agree the quality isn't the same) probably worth talking it over and then getting enough money together for a longer term
if you message me your paypal account details i'll forward you the money
