Quick Start

- For experienced Mumble users

  • Server address: mumble.terranovagaming.com
  • Server port: 63188
  • Password: Ask a member of the Community
  • Server version: 1.2.2

New User Guide

  1. Download the latest version of Mumble - 1.2.2
  2. Install Mumble
  3. Run Mumble, you will be asked to run the Audio Tuning Wizard since this is the first time using Mumble. Hit YES. If the Wizards doesn't start goto CONFIGURE >> AUDIO WIZARD.

  4. Follow the wizard through
  5. On Device selection. Make sure you select the correct Audio Device (sound card/ USB headset). Leave Enable positional Audio unchecked for now.

  6. For Device Tuning a setting of around 20ms should be suitable for most people. You may need to adjust the slider for best performance on your computer

  7. Follow the instructions for the Volume Tuning section.
  8. Voice Activation Detection works quite well in Mumble, producing some very natural conversations. I'd still recommend Push-To-Talk so you aren't accidentally overheard or annoy other users with some heavy breathing. Experiment and see whats best for you. When you choose Push-To-Talk make sure you assign a shortcut key.
  9. Quality & Notification settings can be kept as defaults. Or what best suits you.
  10. To quickly get setup in the Certificate Management. Choose Automatic certificate creation and his NEXT then FINISH to close the Wizard.

  11. The Mumble Server Connect windows appears. Choose Add New... and enter the details as follows and press OK then CONNECT.
