Welcome to the Imperial Legionnaires wiki
About
The Imperial Legionnaires continue to grow. We are now part of a multi-gaming community and have just implemented a new command structure. With the addition of new members from the TNGC we will continue on our glorious path of conquest!
History
The Imperial Legionnaires were founded in early 2003 by two Total War players, Quentus and Maximus.
We grew to become a well respected clan in the Total War Community and good players in the Medieval Total War game.
Our clan numbers continued to grow all the way through the Viking Invasion expansion pack.
When it came to the release of Rome Total War in 2004 we prepared ourselves to merge our theme, unfortunatly many members could not get the game or other problems resolved in players quiting the clan. We soon got back onto our feet and become an active role in clan relations. A clan embassy was set up but many clans vanished from the charts and so the idea was disbanded.
On came the war with the Imperal Dragons clan, as a minority of their members were being disrespectful to fellow Legionnaires and other clans in the chat lobby.
Many battles were fought in which the Imperial dragons took a thrashing. Their clan turned into Civil War and the Imperial Legionnaires sided with the Leaders and the rebel members were kicked out of the clan.
A treaty was signed as the Imperial Dragons would be placed under our protection untill their ranks had been sorted. A session of ignoring the break off clan was in play.
The Imperial Legionnaires Leadership and system is re organised, and a high Concil is established. The first members are Emperor Quentus, Empire, Kaiser and Romulus.
Medieval Total War II has now been released and our members switch to this exciting new game!
The Leadership is about to make a change which will hopefully move I_L on and build the clan up to becoming a well known power in the Total War community.
We are now a few months into Medieval II! And things have come along very well indeed.
Three new recruits, twinmill and Willfrodo.
A New Voice Comm system and growing numbers online. The Clan reaches 11 members, 7 of which are active on Medieval II.
The Clan tag had changed and the first Recruitment video is open for all to see on the homepage.
If we keep this up, -|I_L|-'s first democratic leadership system will be put into action.
Organisation
How it works
This following image is the basic map of our Empire: The Imperial Kingdom of Legionnaires
The following is the clan structure. Starting with the Emperor who is in charge of the whole clan.
Now:
- The Emperor's advisors are any number of members selected by the Emperor who will advise him or help him in certain decision making. Only those the Emperor will believe loyal and trustworthy will get this position, and those who do will remain secret. Not even the seconds in command will know who is on that list.
- The Privy Council are up to two or three members of the ranks Earl upwards who are in general command of the clan, under the Emperor. The Emperor passes suggestions to them and they talk about it and pass it onto the Civil Council to announce. The Privy Council also advise or assist the Emperor in more open matters and are the affective leaders if the Emperor is away.
- The Civil Council are like the Parliament, elected every month these three or four members have the general run of the clans contribution. They monitor and make sure members are active and using the forums, our given Team Speak server and playing on line. They can make basic decisions such as Competitions, Tournaments, award schemes and even propose and vote in some rules/laws.
- The Justices of War are Temporary ranks given to those at a time of war, some members may hold the title permanently, this gives them battlefield command over others of the same or lower rank/position as they are.
- The Foreign Office holds two ranks, these are given to those who wish to do Diplomatic tasks for the kingdom, talking to other clans, improving friendships and even help in making alliances. Ambassadors are the higher status and can even handle Treaties that may be imposed upon other clans, something Emissaries cannot do.
The full list of title ranks are as follows:
Nobilitas Maior
- Dukes
- Earls
Nobilitas Minor
- Barons
- Knights
Now, This brings us onto the map.
The Emperor is in command of the Entire Kingdom. Under him are the Dukes, so if there are two Dukes then the Kingdom is split into the Northern and Southern Realms. Then there are the Earls who start off owning the minimal of four provinces. Barons own a province and fall under the Earls command (if their province in with in the Earl's lands), they may command up to three provinces before being able to challenge an Earl for his/her title and lands. A Knight is in control of each city and falls under the command of his/her Duke, Earl and Baron, but if anyone wanted to move up in the world they can challenge their way to take peoples towns/lands/titles etc...
Use cunning, bravery, tactics, friends and alliances to gain power.
For example, if you were a Knight, you could try ally yourself with another and challenge the Baron of your lands. Then the battle will be a 2v1, now if that Baron owns more than one province there is a good chance he/she might have another Knight that they could muster to assist in battle, and bringing it to a 2v2. And this can be the same for all, If we have three Dukes. Two could ally themselves to fight and take over another Duke's lands. All those who have command over others can muster as many as he/she can to battle. So a Duke could muster as many Earls, Barons and Knights they can and so on. Civil War!
Earls and Barons, if you want to gain power and safeguard your lands, recruit new players and keep them active and on the forums and in contact. So that you can bring them into your lands as a Knight (through the recruitment process), otherwise others will gain numbers and soon you will loose your lands to more powerful members.
Members can form Alliances with each other in order to protect themselves even further. These alliances must have names and can even have their own banner/symbol. For example "The Knights Alliance", "The Order of Legionnaires", "The Barons of the Realm" etc....
Now a Full Roster will be posted in the Structure Topic of the forums, that is where all challenges, information and changes, results will be posted. So go here if to see what you are and if you wish to challenge others then post in the Challenges thread. For any changes to be made, EG a city or province has changed hands then both Victor and Loser must confirm who won and is now rightful owner.
For any more Questions please ask anyone in the Civil Council or higher.
