My name is Edwin, i am 29 years old, and from holland.
My current main character is Legar, a level 60 rogue on the server of Kor'gall (duh
)A little gaming history:
Back in the day that DAOC opened its servers i made a wizard, and that game got me hooked to MMO's every since.
when my wizzie hit level 50 i started playing some other characters and finally ended up with my minstrel on Merlin, and my nightshade on Mordred (free for all pvp)
Acuna, a rl friend of mine, played with me on Merlin aswell, and together we played in the best guilds the server had to offer for a long time.
(for daoc vets, my minstrel was also Legar, even made some pvp movies with my RL businesspartner Porsches back in the time)
Untill new frontiers hit the USA server, i then decided to quit playing on the USa servers all together, and move to EURO servers.
That was a lotta fun, we ran a full 8vs8 pvp team for many many months, and it was one of the best times i have had in MMO's so far (acuna joined us on EURO aswell offcourse
)In september that year i got a new job though, and things changed a lot for me, i wasnt able to play MMO's even remotely as much anymore as i did before, so i quit playing Daoc .. QQ
Untill WoW opened up.. and we all got very interested again in playing.. things settled down a lot for me in RL, and i had some evenings to spare.
So my Gf, Acuna and more RL friends opened an account on USA servers and started playing there. In februari of 2005 EURO WoW opened up, and we didnt hestitate at all to reroll to EURO servers.
So we did, we started alliance characters on Burning Legion.
Me with my rogue (legar). my GF with her Priest, Acuna with his Rogue, and some more friends (paladins.. ;P)
When we reached level 58-59 we got a little burnout on the alliance side, mainly because of the PVE aspect, we had little to none PVE experience to lead stuff ourself, and 2 rogues and 2 paladins.. well no cookie for us at that time.. it was overpopulated with those classes.
When the character transfers came to kor'Gall we all switched here.. to
only find out the server was deserted.. i mean really deserted. 100 peeps max
We rerolled horde on Burning Legion in a desperate attempt to refind the fun, but we were still kinda dissapointed in our char-move descision that most of us quit playing all together.
Untill last december, we all spoke again trough mail etc, and found out that all of us were playing again on different servers /grin.. so if we all were playing.. hell lets play together right ? and this time we will do it right ^^
So a mature server (RP), pvp orientated, and found our own guild with the best attention any GM could ever had.
Up till level 60 everything was going smoothly, but i was playing way to casual still, to be able to lead a guild the way i intented to do so, even with co-GM Acuna.
The guild was awesome, but slowly we were loosing members, hence another guild in the same situation contacted us for a guildmerge.
The merge went very bad, and it was the end of the guild.
My GF and me joined a newly found pve guild (well a pvp guild that was going to pve now) and we started the learning curve.
We learned everything in ZG, MC, most of AQ20 etc.. and when i say learning.. it was hard..
5-7 wiped on every boss.. but we sticked with it, and months later (around last april) we were able to call us a good raiding guild wich could clear MC in a night, and didnt have trouble on any ZG boss or Ony etc etc.
But i got tired of it.. pve pve pve for 4-5 months in a row, i wanted some pvp.. some good old ganking, so i gradually started playing my rogue again.. and offcourse not very shortly after my GF and Acuna joined aswell, but all very casual
wich ment the reborn of our 1st alliance chars Me and my GF started levelling till 60 (last level) and after that she quit playing this game, her schoolwork was taking up too much time to be able to play much anymore.
Acuna joined NO (well you all know his application, and will see the similarities) and i made a post on the official forums that i was looking for a guild wich would accept me as i was at that time.
I found a guild quite fast, Aselieus was deeply touched with my mentality
so i got invited into UNRATED, and on my own terms.. wich meant that at the time, i was willing to help the guild with raid when the REALLY needed me.. but most of the time i was promised to do whatever i wanted with my own time, wich at that time, was exactly what i needed from a guild.UNRATED was having some problems lately, and while most didnt concern me a lot (i only raided when my schedule seen it fit) when Aselieus left the guild a lot of things changed.
I got more and more bitched at for not wanting to dedicate my full time into pve, and wanting to pvp aswell
I had personal goals, wich meant rank 8 for some nice gear, getting mining and engineering to 300, getting my epic mount, getting decent gear as a base and gettting exhalted with AV etc etc..
Well you can understand that that takes a lot of time
so i raided +/-2 times a week.. but the weekends i wanted to pvp.Well like i said, when Aselieus left, it seemed that my agreement with the guild left aswell ;( and i was promptly demoted to "inactive member" despite being online almost daily.
This hurt my feelings a bit, and i decided to leave UNRATED and stay guildless untill i finished my personal goals.

but in fact done allready but i want to finish them anyway, but not as a 1st priority anymore.Why not you ask? well the main reason for my AV grind was the dagger.. but i got lucky.. (well i spend max dkp
:P) on a gutgore ripper, so the dagger part was out of the window.I got my hands on some nice extra gear aswell trough ZG and pvp, that i am currently rank7, close to 8.. but its not much of an upgrade anymore, and anything above rank 8 is a no-go trough time rescrictions.
In short words
i feel i have accompliced my goals and am ready for raiding again (and tbh.. i miss it a little /grin:P)Does that mean im done with pvp? not at all.. you will still find me doing world-pvp whenever i can and there is not raid going on (or not spot left)
PvP is still something i love dearly, and its always a challenge to do so with sub-par gear
About my rogue
Gear: well no need for a link.. its all blue pvp and pve gear except a gutgore ripper and recently upgraded epic bracers from ZG
Attuned: Ony/MC offcourse, BWL not yet, but a single UBRS run will get me that easy enough.
Onyxia Scale cloak : available (UNRATED didnt want to give me one, and i really wanted to work on my fireres set, so i bought the materials myself and had it crafted.
fire-res set: yes avaiable offcourse, but not done yet.
I am currently around 90 fireres without gimping stats, but still looking for a trinket recip with +18 and the ring from the MC waterquest wich will give me around 120 base.
I can get more if needed, but i have cleared raggy without fireress at all
Time able to spend: every tuesday-saturday in the evenings till +/-2300, and sunday and monday is optional, but dont count on it
Thats 5 evenings, from wich i would really wanna pvp at least 1 till im done with my rep (8k to go) but i will make sure to do that when it fits
Spec: 21/8/22 and i AM willing to respec offcourse, but if even remotly possible i want to stay a dagger orientated rogue
Do i have teamspeak/Ventrilo: Offcourse i do, but i can login to listen, you wont find me talking a lot trough the weekdays
Its weird when my GF watched tv and sist behind the pc, so ill talk when she's off to bed.
People i know from NO: numerous, and im sure they have seen me around aswell in AV/AB, but nobody i really really am close friends with, allthought i talked to quite a few allready.
Well offcourse Acuna, but i really dont want to name him as a "sponsor or ref" so to say, since i dont want to get into NO because friends "arranged" it.
I want to be able to join, just because you people feel comfortable with having me around. And untill NO accepts me, i will stay unguilded because tbh, i heard to many good things from Acuna, that this is exactly the guild i want to be in.
