FJ, one thing still puzzles me. Why on earth (or Auraxis) did you guys always use the Bus? Why subject yourself to running into minefields, strikers, spitfires, trees, cliffs, warpgate pylons etc etc? At least Starwolf transported their purple behinds in a 140 kph Galaxy that cost just as much cert points and is above all, safer, faster and has inflight movies?

Haha good question.
I always designed MAP to be leaders in Command, Infantry Assault and Armour. The experience I had of PS was to actually achieve anything you had to mix in these three values.
Sure you could fly around, snipe, stealth or whatever. At the end of the day though this never really achieved anything in PS. The ultimate aim was to take bases and control sectors and this meant getting down and dirty.
The Sunderer was also the perfect tool in this. Right from the start when I ran bus services around Amerish, Oshur and Esamir it quickly became obvious I had more command ability then anyone else in the game except for AMS's. Troop transports like the Galaxy and Sunderer meant as the pilot/driver you could kidnap a squad of heavily armed people and dump them wherever you thought tactically the squad was needed.
A Sunderer also moved at the same speed as a magrider until it was change. Meaning you could run a squad inside the Sunderer behind a screen of Magrider which split and allowed you to crash into a tower or whatever and take it over.
Sunderer were also very effective tank. Two 75mm canons and a huge amount of armour made them a cheaper tank that was 90% as good
