Elections for a new leader part 2 - the vote!
With the nominations now counted I'm starting the vote to see who becomes next community leader.
Would be great if those 3 who received the most nominations could tell us a little about why they want the role.
Voting will start late tonight.
Winner will be the person with the most votes by the end of Saturday.
If any of those 3 nominees wish to stand down before the vote opens they should send me a PM.

Why I want the role? I don't really, I want everything to be done for me. Unfortunately 99% of the rest of the "community" feels the same way, so I guess we could start there.
If elected, I would start enforcing all those little things that you were only encouraged to do in the past, like posting to the front page, and keeping web sites up to date, signing up to the XFire clan, etc. I'd have to come up with some sort of reward system to make it worth the while for those that actually contribute I suppose.
Or, more likely, I'd delegate that to less lazy people while I play on my PS2. Pew pew.

Hehe, actually, I have to agree with Dis. I thought we all felt that way as it didn't seem that anybody particularly wanted to take on the job.
I can be a bit of a stickler for procedure, so I guess I'd like to squeeze in a little more formality to our regs and policies. I'd also be trying to connect with folks that can big-up the community in other games, fly our flag and generally evangelize.

No you've missunderstood me, I still respect bark greatly and I know the reasons why he left NO. It's just that ever since he left NO I haven't really seen him activly posting on the forums. Thats what I was talking about, I wasn't judging him about anything.Aveox wrote:Never judge a person based on a single event. This community is bigger then just WoW. There is a reason Bark was one of the best CR5's and former Starwolf OL. I suggest you judge him on that.Alastriona wrote:Although I haven't seen barkmann since the whole NO drama
But lets get back on the topic of choosing a new community leader shall we?

Well its Sunday so that means its results time. With a good turn out of 35 people voting the final results are:
Dismus - 8
Allicorn - 19
Barkmann - 8
Therefore I formally invite Allicorn to take over as our new Community Leader. So Mr Allicorn, are you ready for the challenge of leading this rabble to glory?
