Your in game name: Le fuge
Your Age: 49
How you heard about us: From one of your members, Alastriona I think.
Your motivation for joining: I've come to realise that a large part of the MMOG experience is who you play with and judging from what I've learned of this community, sensible and mature come to mind, I feel I might fit in and make a positive contribution.
Extra Information: I'm a Biologist (PhD Plant Physiology) working in a technical capacity at Aberystwyth University, UK. I live in a stone cottage 6 miles away in the hills with my dog (Jack Russel) and my Big Boys Toyz: 1050cc Triumph Speed Triple motorcycle, UVA Fugitive IV kit-car (self-built) and of course my monster Gaming-Rig which was also assembled by yours truly.
I have to accept that I have a moderate/serious adrenalin habit.

Experience: Got hooked on FPS with Wolfstein in 1991 and have worked my way through all the ones of interest since. I have come to MMOGs lately: my first was AutoAssault where from closed Beta I rolled a several alts to the max level and was there for server shutdown. My prefered role was as MasterMind in SONiX Biomeck Clan but would switch to Constructor as required. Eitherway, I feel at my best in a support role. After the demise of AA, searching for a new game I tried EVE and TR but then got my POTBS beta key (after 1 year wait) and think I am now home.
Activity: Casual with hardcore interludes.
Terra Nova Company (Pirates of the Burning Sea)
What Class do you play as?
Freetrader.
Please tell us what aspect of the game you enjoy the most, and why.
examples: Open sea PvP, Port defense/offense, Economy etc.
I have always loved making/fixing things and enjoy the Crafting of Ships and fittings in this game - it seems very intuitive. As an FT I've had to learn the market and how one works. This in itself is new and great fun to me.
I haven't considered myself much of a PvPer, AA being my only experience which was wildy fast and furious. However, there seems to be more room (not to mention time) for player skill in POTBS PvP rather than who has the most Uber gear.
During my brief dip in the Tabla Raza beta I felt an emptyness which I realised was lack of the prospect of any PvP - I must be turning into a PvPer.

As to Port Battles, I have yet to be envolved in any but relish the prospect.
Hopefully that is enough.
