Hi Gerryt! Welcome to the forums!

By the way Alli/FJ: is it possible that access to the House Auraxis forums is for all registered members and not just certain usergroups? No point in restricting those forums I think (unless it is because of a security issue).

Is it also possible to add a "House Auraxis" link to portal page that points straight to the House Auraxis forums? I don't see the need for a guild website yet, so a forum link is all we need now.

The reason for the Usergroups is it gives a lot more control over users. Not just for security but in terms of the features the user can and cannot use. These users can be assigned access rights quickly and easy by modifying the group instead of individuals. For example those who have donated money get their name in an Orange Colour and the ability to add attachments as a little reward for donating. Theo just adds them to the Community Donors usergroup and they get the Coloured name and attachments ability without Theo needing to assign these rights individually.

All Member usergroups for divisions have access to all Member forums. Again for example, the MAP usergroup can access the MAP forum section and all the other Member forums such as House Auraxis, Nemetos Order etc

I can't access any of the "Menbers" only groups - only those that have the Registered Users assignment.

FJ, can moderators add people to usergroups? Either I cannot find the feature or Im not able to use it.

Both Meloncrab as well as Exylon Shadowsong will need access to the HA section.

You can. Goto the User Control Panel >> Usergroups >> Manage groups >> Manage users

Yep, followed FJ's advice and added yourself and Exylon. Still have to get used to the layout in the new forum software.
