The spam is often send with a false IP, hacked computers or by some soul that doesnt have a life and is paid to post. Its not as simple as just start blocking IP adresses (if only it were!)
And the solution to spam is not easy. Anytime you find a defensive measure against it that is widely implemented, the bots will be adapted to go around that. The only protection is a good, non-standard protection and Allicorn has been working on that lately.

How much human interaction is used in these bot posts? Would a question like "What does the TNGC stand For"? work ? or would a person supervising or whatever just type in "Terra Nova Gaming Community"

i think you are seriously overestimating it now, nothing can stop kati's spam if she really wants to spam i guess...
