Post Rating System.

Such a pity it only works on ProSilver.

Edit: Just figuring out the report system now. Don't we need like, a moderator-only hidden Subforum somewhere to discuss some of the more complex 'reports'?

You can now send PM's to groups. So if that situation ever arises. Simply just send a PM to all moderators.

I actually modified the width of prosilver to stop it stretching. it looked silly on my screen at 1280x1024. And completely stupid on Lews and his 1920x1200

Also - Phpbb 3.0 has an optional Language Filter - So whats the deal with Inappropriate Language?

Obviously if your language filter is switched on - "[removed]" will not appear for you - So does that mean we should edit abbreviated/bastardised forms of bad words to ensure they fall under the filter for those who wish to use it?

Edit: Okay, so i tried switching the Language filter on, and it didn't censor the F word at all. ?

FYI: the option is under Board Preferences/Display Options - ucp.php?i=prefs&mode=view
(Enable word censoring)

the most annoying thing ever. Word censoring is damn annoying and mostly useless.

The word censor feature is switched on. However I need to populate the list. I'm hoping there is downloadable list somewhere.

To be honest, i MUCH prefer a filter only for those who want it rather than forcing everyone to use it. I do totally understand people like Amiga - It is very useful if you want to, eg, browse the forums at work.

Is that even possible to have it like that here on the forums?

I agree with filtering the language, the English language is comprehensive enough that you don’t need to use profanities to get your point across, I also feel that such terms, used on the forum, will carry a bad impression over to people who may have recently joined or are thinking about joining.

and by the CoC

"Considerate Language! Always tone down your language and avoid swearing."

as long as it's not an overly exhaustive list, not in favour of regulating people content unless absolutely necessary, would rather people are given warnings and if needed blocked for constant abuse, lets not forget bthat most filtering tends sooner or later to block valid posting

All the filtering system does is replace a word with whatever you configure. So doh could become BEEP. It doesn't block people viewing the post.

This can be disabled by each user in the User Control Panel also.
