Why couldnt your friend just stay in NO? Just bcs they have reached further in MC doesnt make them better than us in anyway...

you have to expect that posting as an "ex member of nemetos" is going to make us think you were lying to us. it might have been a better idea to tell us that your friend was applying to WnW so we didnt react the way we did.

as it happens, we were annoyed because we like you. had it been someone we didnt care about, we wouldnt have even bothered posting.
our suspicions werent started until someone noticed the application thread, something that caught us off-guard.

anyway, i hope your sorting things in your RL out. if you want i can square things up with WnW, and if not i can get your friend a place in any of the other guilds on korgall. we were all on TS talking about how unbelievable it was, but there it was, sat infront of us. thanks for clearing it up.

sorry again duck, hope everything is sorting itself out in RL.

Sometimes I have felt that the respect in NO has simply vanished.

On the other hand, when posts are made like Crasp has done, it restores my faith in the TNGC community. It takes a lot of guts to admit when a mistake is made. Duckz0r, I suggest you respond with similar humility to see if this can't be worked out.

Duckzor this is your responsibility. The reason is simple. You lied by letting your friend pretend to be you in order to gain a place in WnW. WnW are a respected guild and they deserve more then someone flashing false credentials in order to join them.

You need to go and explain it was your mistake to WnW and then let your friend apply for himself as himself and let WnW judge him by his own merits.

Any sort of long standing gaming community has a zero tolerance policy to people who aren't telling the 100% truth. You can't function as a community if people aren't honest and upfront with you.

Go to WnW sort out this mess and it will go along way to rebuilding your ties with this community giving everyone an injection of trust in yourself.

yeh as much as i like you duck (and you know for a fact we all do) your friend shouldnt be applying to an MC guild if he doesnt have the necessary experience, and if he needs to lie about that to get in then anything we said as a result has to be written off against your friend, and in some part you. (depending on whether you told him to apply there.)

i want to stress though that we never thought bad of you until that post, and now i know the situation i still dont. we were all understandably gutted that youd left, and to find someone claiming to be you (refering to experience within nemetos) applying to another guild made us all feel a bit cheated. at no point do myself or any of the nemetos players or leaders consider the members "expendable" or just as numbers. theyre all interesting people whos company i enjoy a lot more than raiding. id encourage you to stick around and play with us on the community if you would like to, but id have to say the responsibility is on you to fill in WnW as to why we responded that way and that your friend is infact a "free agent" so to speak.

I've got to hand it to you Duckz0r, you've redeemed yourselves in my eyes - again, you have admited you made a bit of a mistake as well - again, I think that demands a little respect.

As far as I'm concerned, your a TNGC member :)

Well tbh you called this opun yourself by not telling the whole truth, this resulted in our point of view bout the situation. You left, applied for WnW and it was you who wrote it, from our point of view we had every right to think what we did. Dont forget that all who read the post thought the same as me... bit strange huh? Perhaps something that could have been avoided imo.
As for your dutch bit, sure I dont have to betray you or whatever you call it but my loyalty doesnt lie with you, it lies with the guild. Wouldnt matter in which guild you pulled this off you would have gotten the same reaction from people. You should have handled different with the situation, informing more people and it wouldnt have gotten to this.

i spoke to duck, im having a chat tomorrow with roshji while i sort out his dark iron gauntlets about it.

duck whispered me ingame today, came onto his old account to get hold of one of us. he was very appologetic and had some great news about his life which made me smile :) so hes doing well. he also said hed stay in the community and catch up with us as often as possible.

so, to recap.

duck made a mistake.
we jumped to conclusions.
duck got angry.
we sorted it out.

obviously the internet is no place to leave any sort of ambiguity, and duck accepted that. the group hysteria that was the discovery of that application post got us worked up, now its solved.

its very easy to get angry about something when you cant communicate with the people it concerns. i hope weve all learnt that things arent black and white when it comes to stuff like this, though in every other case weve been right theres always room for error.
