Community or Command, choose your path

The Outfit is split into two distinct parts for you to advance through. Those on the Community side are focused on helping members, keeping the website running and growing the Community. Those on the Command side are interested in organising our forces in game into a effective fighting force. Should you wish to just be a member of the Outfit any nothing more. Thats fine and you will remain a recruit.

Full Strategic Command Authority

  • Commander - Maximum of one

      • Voted in by Science Council every other month
    • Benefits:
      • Full strategic command
      • Can promote/demote Platoon/Squad/Team leaders.

Military Command Hierarchy

  • Promotions/ Demotions by Commander
Tier 2 Platoon Leader - Appointed on an as needed basis
  • Pre-requisites to earn this rank:
    • Outstanding strategic mind
    • Great knowledge of the game
    • Proven tactician
    • Been with the Outfit a long time
    • Very Active
  • Benefits:
    • Full tactical control

Science Council

  • Promotions/Demotions by Outfit Leader

Outfit Leader - Firejack

  • Main responsibility will coordinating everything and generally getting the basics right so everyone else can perform their role.
 Tier 3

Squad Leader - Maximum of, (# of Platoon Leaders x 4)
  • Pre-requisites to earn this rank:
    • Proven tactician.
    • Understands some level of Strategy
    • Well respected by the Outfit
    • Can organise Squads and Teams
    • Arranges squad transport
    • Very Active
  • Benefits:
    • Can make higher level command decisions
    • Can choose Squad/Team member setup (classes/vehicles)
Technocrats

Having the Outfit Leadership functioning as a working Technocracy we will need some Technocrats. Each will be responsible for their own area of expertise and will have final say on projects they lead on. This way the people most qualified are the ones performing the tasks. Various roles will be included, everything from running Teamspeak to posting Youtube videos. All the important little jobs that support a much larger modern online gaming Community.

Team Leader - Maximum of, (# of Platoon Leaders x 4)
  • Pre-requisites to earn this rank:

Same as "Veteran" rank, without the need to of played with the Community in another game, plus the following requirements

    • Sounds knowledge and tactical ability at leading small teams. Such as reconnaissance teams, tank crews, anti-air teams, Liberators and Scythe wings.
    • Speaks on Teamspeak
    • Displays outfit logo on avatar/vehicle (not sure if this will be possible)
    • Set Outfit signature on Official forums
  • Benefits:
    • Can make command decisions.
    • Can choose setup for Teams (classes/vehicles)
Promotions/Demotions by Science Council Member Veteran
  • Pre-requisites to earn this rank:
    • Played with the Community in any previous game
    • "Liked" MAP recruitment post on official forums
    • Join the Official MAP group on the PS2 forums (not sure this works yet)
    • Follows @tngcgaming on Twitter or has at least bookmarked/favourited the page in their web browser.
    • Has recruited one new member who has not played with the Community in a previous game.
  • Benefits:
    • Prestige of higher rank
    • Plus can apply "Mafia" rule to invite friends/family who don't meet current requirement criteria
 Tier 5

Choose this path if you;

  • Want to lead Squads in game
  • Have a talent for Command
  • Wants to be the person choosing the targets
Member
  • Pre-requisites to earn this rank:
    • Complete 2 week trial. (Blitz and I decided on a 2 week trial for new members. Seems reasonable to make sure we keep the trouble makers out and the right people in.)
    • Signup to our Community forums + join Outfit Usergroup
    • Install Teamspeak_3
    • Joined Community SteamGroup
  • Benefits:
    • Can send Outfit invites to people who meet our recruitment criteria.
 Tier 6
Recruit
  • Pre-requisites to earn this rank:
    • Receive invite from current Outfit member
    • Successfully complete application on our Community forums


Promotions and Demotions

Within the Outfit we the Leadership - Science Council, that looks after the running of the Outfit. Such as invites to the outfit, maintaining the website, configuring Teamspeak and helping new members. Then we have the Chain-of-Command - Military Command Hierarchy, which handles coordination, strategy and tactics in-game.

The Commander is voted in by the Science Council. In turn the Commander is then responsible for appointing his own Command Team. This means promoting/demotions Platoon Leaders, Squad Leaders and Team Leaders.

All other promotions/demotions are handled by the Science Council.
