What is Twitter? Why do I need it?
Twitter is a micro-blogging service ideal for posting short messages to a large number of people regardless of where they are. Using Twitter you and other members can make important announcements, status messages (website on/offline etc) or simply post a shout-out for extra players to join in a game. This is great for bringing Community news to all members without them needing to stop what they are doing and periodically check the website for important updates.
How do I get Twitter?
Simply head to twitter.com and signup. Takes a couple of minutes and is free. Then goto twitter.com/tngcgaming and click the Follow button. Now everytime you login to Twitter you will see the latest updates from the Community Twitter group.
What other ways can I follow the Community Twitter Group?

- Try twidroid for Google Android mobile devices
- On your mobile by text message (not available in all countries)
- For Ubuntu try Gwibber (search the Ubuntu Software Centre)

Great! I have Twitter and am following the Community group. Can I post messages to the Group?
Yes! You need to send a DM. Firstly get yourself added as a Follower to our Twitter Group. Simply create a new Tweet containing;
@tngcgaming Follow me!
or something similar. Wait for a Twitter Group Admin to add you. Now create a new DM to @tngcgaming . Note: There is a delay of around 90 seconds before your message will appear in the Group. This is because we use the addin GroupTweet to convert the DM into a Tweet by the @tngcgaming account. You message will appear in the format;
tngcgaming via @your-username: message
As a result messages will be truncated by approximately 15-25 characters depending on the length of your username.
Do we have a list of members with Twitter I can follow?
Yep! Head to https://twitter.com/tngcgaming/members and click the Follow button to find out what games members are talking about. To add yourself to the list create a new Tweet containing;
@tngcgaming Add me to members list!
or whatever and a Community Group Admin will add you to the list.
